The film, based on Arthur Schnitzler’s novel of the same name, has received five nominations for the 2023 Silver Ribbon Awards, including one for Best Picture, and boasts a large cast that includes Tony Servillo, Fabrizio Bentivoglio, Sara Serraiocco, Natalino Balasso, Alessandro Besentini, Bianca Panconi.
SYNOPSIS – Leo Bernardi is an established and established director at the end of his career who is not going to put up with his slow decline. After years of exile, he has only one goal: to return to Venice, his home. On the way home, Casanova meets a girl, Marcolina, who rekindles a thirst for conquest that he hasn’t felt in years. Trying to seduce her, Casanova comes to the most tragic conclusion: he has grown old.
