Rey Mysterio Reveals Post-WWE Retirement Plans

The Ultimate Luchadore Rey Mysterio has been in the wrestling industry for over 34 years. Rey Mysterio is a sixteen-time champion and had a Hall of Fame career in which he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2023. Rey thought about quitting wrestling on several occasions, but was convinced to continue fighting. Where he became the current US champion and achieved great success. Kevin Hart asked Rey Mysterio: “You’re 48 years old now. What are you thinking about afterwards?

To which Mysterio replied:

“I think the most important thing is to give my wife some time back. She put her career and time on the line to raise two children to support me and allow me to pursue my dream of wrestling. All my life I just want to be able to enjoy it and share it with her.” (h/t comic)

Rey Mysterio is considered one of the greatest babyfaces in the company and a successful wrestler in the business. He is a one-time WWE Champion, two-time World Heavyweight Champion, three-time Cruiserweight Champion, two-time Intercontinental Champion, four-time Intercontinental Champion, one-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion and three-time United States Champion. He is also the 21st Triple Crown winner and 21st Grand Slam champion. Rey, who has contributed so much to the wrestling industry, deserves a grand send-off.
