RHOC’s Judge Tamra ‘survived’ illness before hospitalization

Tamra Judge thanked her fans for checking in and shared new news after she was hospitalized due to an intestinal obstruction.

“About four weeks ago I became very ill in Scotland. I stuck it out,” Judge, 56, explained in a video posted via X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, October 11th. “It was difficult, but I came home and felt really bad cramps in my stomach.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County The star said that she underwent several examinations in the hospital, but surgery was not required.

“Basically, I had a lot of abdominal surgery due to bowel problems I’d had over the years and it left a scar on the tissue, so luckily they were able to put a tube up my nose and suck everything out within 24 hours, but they didn’t do it. I’ll have to have surgery,” Judge said. “I hope this doesn’t happen again. Hopefully I’ll be back home today, thanks guys!”

The Bravo personality took to her Instagram Story earlier on Monday, October 9, to reveal that, according to the Mayo Clinic, she is experiencing an “intestinal obstruction,” a blockage that prevents food or liquid from passing through the small or large intestine.

“Praying I don’t need surgery,” Judge wrote over a photo of herself in a hospital gown with a tube sticking out of her nose.

While Judge received a ton of supportive comments from social media users, some people claimed Ozempic was the cause of her health scare. However, the reality star quickly responded to the critics.

“These comments about me being on Ozempic are disgusting,” she wrote via X. “I have been suffering from intestinal problems for many years. I have had several surgeries over the past 12 years. Remember when you all laughed at me because I didn’t have a belly button? This was due to an emergency life-saving operation. Part of my intestines was strangled. My grandmother died from intestinal problems. I have never taken Ozempic and personally would not use it for weight loss!”

Judge has been open about her health in the past, even revealing in August 2017 that she had been diagnosed with skin cancer.

“I actually filmed it in 2017,” Judge exclusively revealed. Us weekly in an October 2020 interview. “We had some time, so I decided to have a massage in my room. So the masseuse told me, “Oh, you have this little blackhead.” And it was literally on my butt, like, on the side of my butt.”

After a biopsy, the mark was identified as melanoma, and Judge was grateful that she took the initiative to have it checked.

“I would probably never, ever even know it was there because I don’t turn around and look back there,” she recalls. “It didn’t hurt. There was nothing, they didn’t pick him up. I had no reason to think anything was wrong. …But it was just a process and then just thinking, “Okay, my body is letting me down.” I really do have melanoma.”
