Registration is now open for the Controradio Rock Contest 2023, a national competition for emerging artists that selects and promotes the best of the Italian music scene. Until September 15, it will be possible to register on the website www.rockcontest.it to register and try to win one of the many prizes: funding from recording songs in the studio to creating a video clip, passing photo shoots, promotion. and organization of the tour. To these are added awards for individual art projects. In addition to the prizes, participating in the Rock Contest means being able to play in front of a real audience, meet peers and insiders, and take advantage of opportunities. These characteristics make it the most important and long-lived competition in Italy, crossing the finish line of the 35th edition. On the Florentine stage as a contestant, jury member or live guest, artists of the caliber of Patti Smith, Dario Brunori, Calibro 35, Colapesche, Cristina Dona, Ligabu, Diodato, Irene Grandi, Lo Stato Sociale, Manuel Agnelli, Motta, Piero Pelu, Stefano Bollani . An insider jury will select 30 soloists of the group who will take part in the competition, which will be divided into five preliminary rounds (from October 17), two semi-finals and a final on October 25. In addition to the public, which will vote online, the final ranking will be made by a highly qualified technical jury.
The winner will receive 3,000 euros, the second 5 days of recording at Sam Recording Studio, one of the most prestigious studios in Italy, and the third 500 euros. The piece that best expresses the desires and concerns of young people will win the Fondo Sociale EuropeoGiovanisì prize (2,000 euros); The Enrico Greppi Erriques Prize (€2,000) will go to the text that stands out the most for its positive values and social commitment. The Publiacqua Award, announced by Publiacqua SpA and dedicated to the song that best expresses the themes of sustainability, climate change, biodiversity, resource availability, inclusiveness and equality, is to create a video clip. Finally, the best song in Italian, in collaboration with the magazine Il Popolo del Blues, will be honored with a special Ernesto de Pascale Award dedicated to the memory of the radio host.
