The latest update released by Elizabeth Olsen on live television is not exactly positive.
Scarlet Witch, Elizabeth Olsen has not signed a new contract with Marvel Studios
First appeared in a post credit scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier before being involved in the plot of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Wanda Maximoff immediately demonstrated that she has particularly important and dangerous powers if they fall into the wrong hands. Over the years, Wanda has become a point of reference for Marvel fans, one of her most beloved characters, which is why her dark parenthesis in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has greatly embittered MCU viewers. Before even appearing in the Doctor Strange sequel, she got a stand alone TV series called WandaVision, where she finally learned the origin of her powers thus becoming the Scarlet Witch. After what happened in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel has hinted that Wanda is dead, sacrificing herself to destroy the Darkhold. In a recent interview with Today Show, however, Elizabeth Olsen has tried to anticipate the future of Wanda, explaining that she does not yet know the intentions of the Studios. When the host asked if we will see Scarlet Witch soon, she replied:
It’s a difficult question to answer, because I’m afraid my words always get twisted every time I open my mouth. In any case I hope so, but I have no idea. And I mean I really don’t know, I just hope so.
The answer appears even more bitter because the presenter tried to extract other information and the actress explained that at the moment she hasn’t seen a script yet, so she hasn’t started filming and, indeed, it seems that even did not sign a contract with the studios. Despite the bad premises, Marvel fans love Scarlet Witch too much not to include her in the entertainment proposals. As it reports ScreenRant, according to some rumors Wanda was included in a scene of Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The plot, moreover, also involves the reincarnation of Wanda’s son, Billy. Another opportunity to see Scarlet Witch again in the Marvel universe could come with Vision Questnew TV series starring Paul Bettany who reprises his role as Vision, but this time as White Vision after what happened in WandaVision. The premises for a return of Wanda are all there. What is missing is only a confirmation (and a contract, apparently).
