What happened in the last episode Secret Invasion

Gia and Sonya agree to team up. Sonya shows the young Skrull a laboratory where people are in stasis form: over time, they are replaced by Skrull people.

While there is no indication as to when the two were replaced, one detail that has not gone unnoticed is that Rhodey is wearing the same hospital gown as Captain America: Civil War. So there is an assumption that the replacement occurred at that time.

Fury attempts to force President Ritson to back down by asking him to cancel the declaration of war against the Skrull people. The President refuses and tells Fury to get the Skrull people off Earth if he wants to save them.
Fury returns to SABER with his wife Varra (Charlaine Woodard). They will leave and together make a peace agreement between the humans and the Skrulls. The final episode of the series ends with the two kissing before entering the spaceship together.
