Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa announce upcoming project together

Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa are cooking up a mystery project together while trolling rumors that they once had a feud.

Raisa posted photos on Instagram of a pair of old friends at a bowling alley wearing matching T-shirts that read, “No Beef, Just Salsa.” The actor captioned the post: “Exciting news on Monday…”

The upcoming collaboration officially puts an end to rumors that the couple were not getting along in recent years. Raisa donated her kidney to Gomez in 2017 after the singer battled complications from lupus. Since then, fans have noticed that the two friends have grown apart, and the tension seemed to be confirmed last year. Raisa responded to Gomez’s comments in an interview, saying Taylor Swift was her “only friend in the industry.” Raisa wrote “Interesting” under the post that featured her interview, and Gomez replied in another post: “Sorry I didn’t mention all the people I know.”

Following conversations on social media, Francia Raisa said Selena Gomez’s fans are “cyberbullying her severely.” “No one condones bullying in any way, especially Selena,” Raisa shared with TMZ. “So the fact that I’m being bullied now irritates me. This is not what anyone wants for anyone and (Gomez) is literally saying, ‘Please stop.’ So I don’t understand why this is happening.”

Fans also made outlandish claims that Gomez “forced” Raisa to donate her kidney, which the actor has since denied.

They then settled any differences between them when Gomez publicly wished Raisa a happy birthday in July. “Happiest birthday to this special someone,” Gomez wrote in the caption. “Wherever life takes us, I love you.”

They were also spotted out to dinner in Los Angeles in August and posted on social media that they accidentally wore matching shoes. Raisa then captioned her Instagram story: “No beef, just salsa.”
