Serena Williams is writing a memoir about her life “on and off the court,” according to a press release from Penguin Random House today (October 18). In the same press release, PRH wrote that the memoir is the first of two books Williams will write for the publisher under a new contract; the second will be an “inspiring” work in which She “will draw on her experience as a philanthropist and advocate, her career as an investment unicorn at Serena Ventures, and her long career dedicated to promoting diversity and diversity to provide rules for life for an emerging generation of young women.” The desire was not limited to the court. ”
The publication date and title of the upcoming memoir have not yet been officially revealed. PRH’s press release made the following statement about Williams’ book:
“For so long, I was only focused on winning and I never sat down to look back and reflect on my life and career. Over the past year, I’ve really enjoyed spending time with my growing family Celebrate my accomplishments and explore my other passions. “I am in a more perfect place than the Random House team to take on such a personal and intimate project, and there is no one I would rather work with. “
Elsewhere in the press release, PRH writes that the book “will provide a comprehensive, open account of her extraordinary life, from her childhood in Compton, California, learning to play with her parents, to her childhood in West Palm Beach The College Years and Her Childhood”. At the age of 14 she decided to turn professional and became the top female tennis player in the world and one of the most accomplished athletes in history.
“Williams’ memoir will also be an open-ended exploration of the experiences that shaped her life, including overcoming scrutiny and attacks in a predominantly white and male sport, suffering devastating losses on and off the court, loving Tech Entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian Celebrates Body Diversity, Expanded Style Range in Sports and Pop Culture, Raised Awareness of Maternal Health Disparities, and Raised Daughters Olympia and Adira devoted mother,” the release continued.
