Serena Williams lovingly showed off her new baby Adira’s luxurious nursery in a YouTube montage posted this week.
The 41-year-old tennis icon and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, have two daughters: Olympia, five, who was born earlier this month Adira.
Now, Serena has pulled back the curtain on her lavish new bedroom for her newest little bundle of joy.
Adira’s nursery features a giant crown mounted on the wall above her crib, and one of the walls is covered in crimson stuffed animals.
Matching red curtains hang below the crown, giving the appearance of a canopy over the elegantly designed bed.
The well-appointed nursery has some luxuries, including a burgundy trunk, a tall stuffed giraffe, and even a walk-in closet.
The room’s design, courtesy of Dutch firm By Selina, features a stylish floral vine pattern dripping from the corner wall.
Several stuffed hot air balloons hung from the ceiling, and a photo hung on the wall that read: “Victory Redefined.”
Serena’s YouTube video begins with a few clips shot three weeks ago, when she was still pregnant with Adira.
At that time, the nursery, which had been Olympia’s bedroom, was still rather empty and far from the affluence it would later achieve.
Wearing a Gucci maternity dress, Serena gave her fans a brief tour of the empty room, which was filled with supplies.
She then tried to bring a camera into Olympia’s current playroom, only for her young daughter to kick her out, to which Serena said: “I got kicked out of a better place.”
Serena returns to the nursery and starts tinkering with supplies, only to find that Olympia is still dissatisfied.
The five-year-old, possibly angry that her old bedroom was occupied, burst into the nursery, snatched a roll of floral paper from her mother, and stormed out of the room.
‘Where is your mother? Your mom needs to pick you up. Serena joked. “She’s lucky we’re filming!” I’m just kidding. She’s so funny.
Selina posted photos of the nursery she designed and thanked Selina for choosing them.
“It was an honor to meet you and custom design the nursery for baby Adira, who didn’t yet know her gender or name,” they wrote.
“We felt very welcome and truly honored to be able to deliver this to your home in person and we are so grateful that you were pleased with the result. “You gave us a wonderful memory with this! ” the company continued.
Serena announced Adira’s birth on a sweet family TikTok last Tuesday, giving the public its first look at her newborn.
She also revealed Adira’s name, a Hebrew word whose various translations include “noble,” “powerful” and “majestic.”
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” Alexis proudly wrote on her Instagram after Serena announced the baby’s birth on TikTok.
“I’m so happy to say our house is filled with love: a happy and healthy newborn girl and a happy and healthy mom,” the tech mogul said ecstatically.
‘Feel grateful. @serenawilliams, you have now given me another incredible gift – you are GMOAT. Thank you to all the wonderful medical staff who took care of my wife and daughter. “I will never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her little sister,” Alexis continued.
He ended with a biblical commentary quoting from Isaiah: “Your peace will be like a river, and your happiness will be like the waves of the sea.”
Serena and Alexis tied the knot in a star-studded New Orleans ceremony in November 2017, two months after Olympia was born.
