Decide after dark
Last week was Friday the 13th and next week is (almost) Halloween, so it’s safe to say we’re in the middle of spooky season. There are tons of amazing new horror films to watch – we recommend Absolutely killer (Prime Video) and Talk to me (VOD) – but what if you want something a little more… sultry?
Work week? Above. Lights? Darkened. Mood? Just right. You know what that means: it’s time for another round of Decider After Dark.
Before we officially begin, let’s take a look at some of our favorite Decider After Darks. Earlier this year, we covered the hottest TV shows and movies of 2023 (so far), and back in February we looked at the hottest movies couples can watch this Valentine’s Day (Sleeping with other people, addicted, good luck to you, Leo Grande, and more). ‘Jennifer’s body’
Jennifer’s body is a certified cult classic. Diablo Cody’s beloved 2009 horror comedy stars Megan Fox as the eponymous Jennifer, a high school cheerleader turned demonic ogre. We’ve all been there, am I right?
The film is somewhat divisive—it currently has a Tomatometer rating of 46% on Rotten Tomatoes—but it’s accompanied by a seductive makeover session from Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried. Wild things, cruel intentionsAnd Black Swan in the pantheon of classic movie lip products.

‘Variety’
VarietyAn absurd ’90s sci-fi horror film starring Natasha Henstridge as a sexy alien who tries to eradicate the human race by mating, it’s… not a great movie. But it is a well-known cult classic. The film, as expected, received mediocre reviews, but has a surprisingly solid cast (Michelle Williams, Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, Alfred Molina and Forest Whitaker) if you want to watch it on Hulu or Max.

“Friday the 13th” (2009)
Ready to blow your mind? Marcus Nispel, 2009. Friday the 13th the film contains… nudity?! Despite less than positive reviews (the film currently has a 25% rating on Rotten Tomatoes), the modern reboot of the classic slasher franchise includes all the usual blood, sex, nudity and hockey masks of its predecessors.
All tea Friday the 13th films (except Jason) are currently streaming on Max.

“Fatal”
Everyone knows about Friday the 13th franchise but Deon Taylor’s 2020 psychological thriller Fatal is a little more under the radar.
For Netflix, the film follows a one-night stand in Las Vegas that turns into a nightmare for a married sports agent (Michael Ealy) when the woman he cheats with (Hilary Swank) wreaks havoc on his life.

“Jason Goes to Hell: Final Friday”
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from decades of horror films, it’s that Jason Voorhees hates sex. 1993s Jason goes to hell there’s a fairly famous sex scene that takes place in a tent and is preceded by some of the weirdest dialogue in the world. Friday the 13th story: “Do you think you’re ready for Tony the Wonder Llama?”
The unrated version of the scene…is pretty terrible…as things don’t end well for Wonder Lama’s friend Tony.
Bonus recommendation: The famous erotic thriller by Anna Goursaud from 1995. Vampire’s Embrace (Pipes)

“Voyeurs”
Erotic thriller by Michael Mohan Voyeurs became one of the biggest streaming debuts of 2021. Sydney Sweeney and Ben Hardy’s seductive film oozes sex appeal, with Jesse Hassenger calling the film “unabashedly horny” and a “welcome change from the sexlessness of modern millennium films.”
A little Rear window mixed with a generous helping of unadulterated sexiness, you won’t be disappointed once you hit play. Voyeurs.

“Cabin Fever” (2016)
There’s no shortage of sexy moments from Cabin fever franchise, but the photo on the right (and the following quote) are from the 2016 version, which is currently streaming for free on Tubi.
“It’s like being on a plane that you know is going to crash, and everyone around you is screaming, ‘We’re going down.’ We are falling. And all you want to do is just grab the person next to you and fuck the crap out of them because you know you’re going to die soon anyway. It does not matter”.

‘Real blood’
Real blood is a real Decider After Dark favorite. Since its very first episode, HBO’s iconic vampire series has pushed the boundaries (and then some) of on-screen sex, incorporating threesomes, orgies, fantasy scenes and more. Halloween is the perfect time to start revising. Luckily, all seven seasons are still streaming on Max.
