Morelia, Michoacan, September 11, 2023. The Michoacán State Health Department (SSM), through the State Council for the Protection of Sanitary Risks (Coepris), chlorinated more than 7,000 liters of water at the confectionary market. Morelia, protect the population from possible health risks.

In addition, tenants and market management staff are trained to clean and disinfect water tanks and those that provide fluids to bathrooms every six months using chlorine diluted in water, hoses, gloves, brushes and brooms, and the use of appropriate tools. Through these actions, the Michoacan Department of Health prevents diseases related to water contamination and poor sanitation, such as cholera, gastrointestinal infections, dysentery, typhoid and hepatitis.
