There are certain fashion details that make women very happy, and pockets are one of them. Yet many clothing items are missing the design element that sparks joy.

“I think functionality is often the last thing on brands’ minds,” explained celebrity-favorite designer Christian Cowan. “Pockets are often overlooked when the overall design aesthetic is a priority.”

To solve this problem in the coolest way possible, Christian collaborated with Candy Crush to develop a line of pocket stickers, which debuted on the TikTok star’s runway.

The Christian Cowan x Candy Crush pockets debuted on model Meredith Duxbury at Christian’s show during Paris Fashion Week.

“Designers are known to ignore pockets, but today’s fashion demands them,” shared the designer, who has dressed Lil Nas X, Lizzo and Lady Gaga.

“I love camp, but I also love functionality—these pockets have both, and there’s no better way to show it off than on the runway,” Christian said.

“They take an ordinary outfit and make it more interesting and functional.”

An avid Candy Crush player, the game’s candy and rainbow cascades influenced Christian’s design.

“I took inspiration from the game’s bold and playful colors and incorporated them into my collection, using textures that are used throughout (tweed + denim),” Christian said.

“The pockets are available in a variety of candy-inspired colors such as hot pink, electric blue and luscious purple that mimic the game’s aesthetic. From the style and shape of the pockets to the names, the world of Candy Crush is visible everywhere.”

The pockets are intentionally oversized so that they can be attached to any clothing.

“They attach like a brooch with four easy-to-use pins on each corner of the pocket.”

The pocket designs complemented the looks Christian had planned for his spring/summer 24 collection.

Meredith took to the runway in a pink tweed minidress with fur trim, pockets made from the same tweed fabric and embellished with silver stripes.

“I think it’s so cool that these pockets fit both me and Candy Crush, and are made from the same fabrics I presented on the runway, but at an affordable price.

“I’ve never done a collaboration that wasn’t authentic to me as a designer,” he said.

“Everything is always related to things that I actually used or loved. My designs are meant to be playful, fun and bring joy – Candy Crush exudes the same spirit!”
