Teaser featuring Emma Stone in the director’s series “Joyas Brutas”

The American channel Showtime has published the first teaser for the series “The Grudge,” produced by actress Emma Stone, an Oscar winner for the film “La La Land” (2016). The film is the first series to feature director Safdie, director of “Bom Comportamento” (2017) and “Joias Brutas” (2019).

The dark comedy shows how a supposed curse disrupts the relationship of two young people at home. According to the plot, we are trying to come up with a story and host a problematic program on HGTV, an American decorative television channel (part of the Discovery conglomerate).

The cast also includes Nathan Fielder (“Nathan for You”) as Stone’s husband and Benny Safdie, a producer on the HGTV program.

In addition, Emma Stone is a producer for her company Fruit Tree, Elara Pictures, Josh and Benny Safdie and A24 Studios. Stone has a contract with A24.
