Tennis legend Serena Williams named ‘Fashion Icon’ at fashion industry’s biggest awards night

Designer Maria Cornejo received the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Laura Linney.

There is also a 50th anniversary tribute to hip-hop with a short film by director Hype Williams, with an introduction by Mary J. Blige and music by Pharrell.
