First of two films The Incredible Spiderman was released in cinemas around the world in 2012 and was immediately appreciated by the public due to Peter Parker’s younger and wittier character, as well as being more faithful to the comics than the previous three films. While this has long been considered a reboot of the saga, it is an alternate version of the story in a different universe than Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man universe. After this film, there was talk of a third chapter in which Spider-Man would fight against the Sinister Six, but this never happened, and other Spider-Man films were developed in a version that was still different from the previous ones, where the superhero was played by Tom Holland.
In 2021 in Spiderman: No Way Home, the third film in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe)-related Tom Holland saga, Andrew Garfield returns as Spider-Man to help Holland’s Spider-Man solve problems, and here he will also meet Spider-Man Tobey Maguire. After the 2021 film, there was talk of Sony’s intention to develop a third installment in the saga. The Incredible Spiderman and actor Garfield himself said he was ready to return as a superhero.
