The Aprilia film festival is underway

APRILIA (Latina)- The fifth edition of the Aprilia Film Festival will be held on 5, 6 and 7 May at the Teatro Finestra, in the spaces of the Polo Culturale ex Claudia, via Pontina Km 46,600 Aprilia (LT), under the artistic direction of its founder Federico Paolini, director and actor from Apriliano.

It all began in 2018 where the Lux Film Festival was held, the basis and inspiration for the first edition of the Aprilia Film Festival which took place in 2019.

The Festival intends to enhance and support the world of cinema and art at 360°, promoting the participation of filmmakers from all over the world and leaving maximum freedom of expression of genre and cinematic style.
Being a cultural event that involves various aspects of art, we wanted, already in previous editions, that it did not end with the mere proposal of quality cinema, but that it created a meeting point between the various forms of art: music, dance, painting, photography, handicrafts, poetry, which will enliven the pre-evening, from 16:00 to 20:00. Thanks to this careful mix of the various art forms, the festival has obtained a public response far above our expectations, attracting people also from other municipalities and regions.

The project was born thanks to the CUORE COMICO cultural association (president Roberto Mincuzzi), with the patronage of the Lazio Region, the Province of Latina, IMAIE, the Municipality of Aprilia and the Proloco, which offered particular support to the initiative, appreciating the strong territorial involvement promoted by the Festival. In fact, it is our intention – affirms its Artistic Director and founder – to promote the city of Aprilia and the Pontine area as an important hub of film culture at an international level and to create a meeting point where we can talk about cinema, exchange ideas or even have the opportunity to meet people with whom to create friendship and/or work ties.

All the previous editions from 2019 to 2022 had an important return in terms of participation and criticism, also hosting important figures in the sector including: “Massimiliano Bruno – Godfather of the festival, Luciano Fontana, Antonio Gargiulo, Herbert Simone Paragnani, Mark Melville , Davide Lepore, Gabriel Montesi Alex Polidori (Spiderman and Timothée Chalamet voice actor), Sara Labidi (Arya Stark voice actress – Game of Thrones) and Guglielmo Poggi (Actor – we can find him in “Long live Italy, The men of gold etc.) and many others.

For the 2023 edition, Massimiliano Bruno is confirmed as godfather and the participation of as many jurors and important guests is expected, including in the jury: Alberto Gelpi for direction, Daniele Poli for photography, Flavia Toti Lombardozzi for acting, Luciano Fontana for editing , Roberto Lobbe Procaccini for the soundtrack, Gianni Corsi for the screenplay and Paola Riviello for the scenography.
