The film will be directed by Frank E. Flowers and written by Joe Ballarini (Babysitter’s Guide to Hunting Monsters). Flowers has already worked with Saldana in 2004 in Crime Haven, which he shares with The Bluff the setting in the Cayman Islands:

Currently, only the name of Zoe Saldana has been confirmed to star in The Bluff, an epic adventure that will see pirates and buccaneers collide on a 19th century Caribbean island. The island is inhabited by Ercell (Zoe Saldana), a female pirate who has laid down her arms and lives peacefully among her people. But the peace they are used to is shattered when some enemies try to invade the island in search of justice for Ercell’s past sins, who will be forced to take up arms and defend her people and her land.
The project was originally going to be distributed by Netflix, but for unknown reasons, the streaming giant backed out and it currently looks like the film will be released on Prime Video. This will be the third time the actress of Avatars and brothers Russian will join forces after the last two chapters of Avengers and, moreover, will allow the Russian to further expand relations with Prime Video, on which the spy drama series will be distributed Citadel.
