Will there be a Crowded Room 2?
Crowded room will be 2? Apple’s original production, starring Tom Holland, ended on Friday, July 28. What do we know about its future? To date, the company from Cupertino has not formalized any decision regarding the resumption of the series. However, the project was pitched as a mini-series from the start, and consequently the narrative was designed to run out of its story by the end of the first season.
To be honest, when the first information about the casting appeared crowded room, the trade press referred to the series as an anthology. Until last year, the product was still talked about as anthology, that is, a series that would face different cases each season. This assumption gains weight when you consider how the first season ended. If history seems to have run out of material in regards to the character of Tom Holland, then the same could not be said in return for Rye Goodwin. Let’s go step by step.
How does “A Crowded Room” end?
What’s certain is that the last episode of the first season leaves very little untold. In the tenth and final episode, titled “Justice”, Danny Sullivan struggles with the process that will determine how he spends the remaining years of his life. However, when his moment comes in the courtroom, it becomes clear to everyone that this is a judgment on a person who is not able to understand or want.

Prison is not the solution for Danny: his place is in a psychiatric hospital where he can be helped with the disorder he suffers from. So the jury decides to reach a not guilty verdict based on the fact that Danny is, in a nutshell, crazy. The therapy that Danny subsequently undergoes produces encouraging results, and his main personality seems to emerge and prevail over the rest.
As for Rhea Goodwin, Amanda Seyfried’s character has a personal revelation when she realizes that a career as a university teacher is not for her. Riya decides to become a psychotherapist in order to have a decisive influence on the lives of suffering people. The ending doesn’t necessarily open up the possibility of a second season in which Raya fights another patient, but what’s certain is that it would be a more than plausible path if Apple decides to renew the series.
