The new Flash poster has caught the attention of a group of fans on Reddit
The new poster of The Flashhighly anticipated film with Ezra Miller to be released on June 14thcaught the attention of some fans on Reddit and generated some debate. Some users have found a similarity between the image in question and another famous poster, that of Man of SteelZack Snyder’s first film dedicated to Superman by Henry Cavill. As we know Cavill said goodbye to the character last October. It wasn’t a firing, as specified by DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn, simply “never been hired” and his stint as the Man of Steel concluded with a cameo in Black Adams. A cameo that had rekindled hopes about Cavill’s return, thanks also to the proclamations of Dwayne Johnson, who had been flaunting great plans and future prospects for weeks. Not only that, a few months ago the news had arrived that Henry Cavill’s cameo planned for The Flash was eliminated, as was that of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, to mark a clean break with the new vision of the DCU.

In the poster of The Flashactually, the pose assumed by Ezra Miller is very reminiscent of that of Henry Cavill in the poster of Man of Steel. A resemblance that has caused a feeling of deja vu among Reddit users who saw a hidden reference to the British actor’s Superman. To be honest, it must be said that that in question is a rather common pose when it comes to superheroes, even outside the DC Universe. And if there are several users who point out the similarity, seeing in it a sort of homage or who knows what else, there are just as many who claim there isn’t much to speculate about. Maybe someone hasn’t completely lost hope of seeing Cavill’s Superman in The Flashin that cameo filmed and then given (rather certainly) for cut.
The Flashdirected by Andy Muschiettiwill hit theaters on June 14th. Alongside Ezra Miller in the role of Barry Allen will also be there Sasha Calle (Supergirl), Michael Shannon (General Zod), Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdù, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue and Michael Keaton as Batman.
