The Justice and Development Party will submit a request to the International Criminal Court

In his speech before the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Ozel Zengin, Vice Chairman of the Justice and Development Party Group, announced that preparations for submitting the request regarding what happened to Palestine have been completed. Ghani said:

“As a lawyer, it is a matter to which I attach great importance; I just spoke with our friends on the phone. About 13-14 of our lawyer friends, most of them from Bar Association No. 2, including our representative in Istanbul Cuneit Yuksel, and also nearly 3 thousand petitions from 13 different countries, heading to The Hague, and they are currently in. Preparations have been completed to submit a request to the International Criminal Court regarding what happened in Palestine, and this request will be submitted within a week. This case is very important because nothing of what happened will disappear. Thousands of people lost their lives. More Of the 6 thousand children who lost their lives, 15 thousand people lost their lives and it seems that this will continue. And when we look at this way, while we are trying to achieve peace on the one hand, there must be a penalty under international law for these illegal practices and massacres on the other hand. “It is very important for Turkey to lead in this sense. I also wish our friends success in their efforts.”
