The FBI stumbled upon a very suspicious video recording

In 1989, on a farm in Burr Oak, Michigan, Robert Reed discovered a Super 8 camera, which was tested with several weather balloons. It fell onto his farm from the sky and he assumed it was some sort of surveillance device created by the government to check for illegal activities in the area, so Reed thought it best to notify the authorities. When the local police arrived there, they were quick to tell the farmer that the likelihood of it being a government-issued surveillance device was very low, given that the technology at the time was much better than it is now.

After checking the camera footage, they found something that could only be described as traumatic, so they called the FBI to get to the bottom of the situation. When they checked the footage, it was discovered that two men wearing leather jackets, looking like criminals, were standing over the dead, decomposing body of a man lying on the concrete. The camera then rose up, moving back and forth due to the wind, and continued to show a large urban concrete structure.

Although the FBI was very confused about what it was, they were absolutely sure that it had something to do with some kind of gang activity. For two years, the federal bureau tried to understand and solve the murder of the man shown in this video, while they had many questions about what was happening, but all to no avail.

The FBI has found Trent Reznor dead

Finally, after two years of no answers, the FBI, as a last resort, decided to show the footage to the public, even if it horrified them, starting with a local art college. Almost immediately they found the answers they were looking for. The man in the video was identified as Trent Reznor from the rock band Nine Inch Nails, who was very much alive and well. The footage in the video was very reminiscent of the ending of the video for their debut single. Down in this. Somehow it ended up slipping completely under the FBI’s radar.

Apparently, what happened was that the group was filming this video with H-Gun and made concessions due to lack of funds. This involved mounting a Super 8 camera on the weather balloons since they didn’t have a crane. What happened was that the cable holding the camera in place eventually snapped and it flew off, ending up on the farm of one Robert Reed and then in the hands of the FBI.

In the footage, they saw the last frame of their video, which showed Reznor falling to his death on the concrete. However, it was not possible to add this to the video because the camera floated away. Reznor said he found the whole situation rather funny at first, but later wondered if he would have to meet with the FBI to prove that he was, in fact, alive.
