GAME INFORMATION

On the sidelines of the Night of the Oscars 2023, BloodPop surprised its audience by announcing its entry into the gaming industry: the producer of the likes of Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Grimes has founded Genpop Interactive, a software house that is already making its first video game.

The new entrepreneurial activity launched by the eclectic American musician and record producer will see him collaborate with Ed Fries, co-creator of the first Xbox console, and the Japanese company Good Smile Company to give shape to a project which, according to BloodPop himself, “will be at the heart of the next generation of music, fashion and video game culture”.

Genpop Interactive’s creative forges already count 25 members including developers, programmers and authors: BloodPop’s first game will be a multiplayer third-person shooter. The official website of the new software house of the producer of Lady Gaga and Beyoncé does not reveal further details on this project, except for the sketches that portray the characters and for a passage in which the Genpop team explains that their next title will feature “innovative animations, movements and combat mechanics”.

Also from the official site of Genpop Interactive we learn that the 25 developers who will accompany BloodPop in his new videogame activity come from the major realities of the sector and have contributed to shaping titles such as League of Legends, Halo Infinite, Call of Duty, Magic Arena, Minecraft and many others.
