Time for victory: what awaits us in season 2
Set during the golden age of the NBA. Victory time tells the professional and personal history of the Los Angeles Lakers of the 1980s. One of the most dominant and beloved dynasties in basketball, the Lakers defined their era both on and off the court, winning five championships during that period, thanks in part to some of the biggest names in the history of the sport.
The second season focuses on the period immediately after the 1980 finals and up until 1984, culminating in the first professional rematch between the era’s biggest stars: Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. The trailer shows the Lakers basking in the warmth of their recent success, but Larry Bird (Sean Patrick Small) and the hated Boston Celtics are determined to defeat them. Thus, we will witness historic rivalries between the two teams, including the infamous Kurt Rambis touchdown by Celtics Kevin McHale, as well as internal disputes within the team, such as between Magic Johnson (Quincy Isaiah) and coach Paul Westhead (Jason Segel).
