Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s 20-month-old son is now officially named Air Webster.
The former couple were granted permission to change their name from Wolf Jacques Webster after filing a petition in March.
Beauty mogul Kylie, 26, was sworn in and appeared virtually for the hearing, but rapper Travis, 32, with whom the Kardashian star also shares five-year-old daughter Stormi, was absent.
Court documents obtained by People read: “The court finds that the other parent was given timely notice and did not file an objection.
“If there is no objection, the motion to change the name is granted.”
The couple applied to legally change their son’s name in March after changing their minds shortly after his February 2022 birth.
The documents, obtained by TMZ, read: “(Kylie and Travis) regret their initial choice of the name Wolf Jacques Webster. Now that the applicants have had the opportunity to spend time with their child, they feel the name Air Webster is more appropriate.”
A few weeks after the birth of her son, Kylie admitted that she and Travis had changed the boy’s name, but she only officially announced in January that his name is Eire.
And after a fan site shared her Instagram post, which included the first photos of the baby’s face, and asked whether the nickname was pronounced “Eir” or “Eiry”, Kylie was quick to clear the air.
She replied, “AIR (heart emoji).”
The star previously explained that she and the rapper, whose real name is Jacques Webster, decided that Wolf did not fit the character of their child.
She wrote on Instagram: “FYI, our son is no longer named Wolf. We just didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolff everywhere. (sic)”
The Kylie Cosmetics founder admitted in September that she knew as soon as she signed her son’s birth certificate that she didn’t want to name him Wolf, but she “felt pressure” to choose a name due to the legal process of registering the baby. birth.
She said: “We didn’t really have a name, I just thought it would come to us when we saw it, but it didn’t.
“24 hours before we had to sign the birth certificate or they would just register him without a name and he wouldn’t get a social security number… So I felt pressured to pick a name and then Chloe said the day before we sign : “What about Wolf?”
“I like WW, so we just put Wolf Webster in that moment. Right after I signed the birth certificate, I thought, “What did I just do?” It’s part of his history, but his name has changed.”
