According to media reports, Haitham’s story began 7 years ago, when he was 17 and looking for work, and his uncle helped him find a job opportunity with an Omani trader in Al-Mahra.
One day Haitham felt tired and the Omani merchant took him to the hospital, but on their way back Haitham fainted from severe fever and did not wake up until he was in the residence.
The victim proposed to Haitham’s sister
After two years, Haitham decided to get married and the Omani merchant gave him a sum of money and helped him get married. He went to Aden, got married, his holidays ended and he returned to his job in Al-Mahra. The Omani businessman told him that he would rent a 3-room apartment and give him one room in which he could live with his wife, another room for his sister and the third room in which he would live . Inside with them.

Haitham was surprised by the merchant’s statement, especially because he is not a mahram to his wife or sister, so how could he live with them? The merchant told him that he wanted to get engaged to her sister, so Haitham told him that he should talk to his uncle and ask him about her, and the family agreed on the condition that the marriage would take place officially.
The Omani merchant insisted on marrying Haitham’s sister unofficially because the nature of his work prevented him from doing so. Haitham threatened to make him marry his sister or expose him. Haitham was surprised by his conversation and asked, “Why are you exposing me?” The dealer showed him clips and photos of him sexually assaulting him, and Haitham was surprised when it happened and then remembered when he fainted while he was sick.
Haitham told his older brother what happened and his brother asked him to tell the dealer that he wanted to meet him and that they would beat him and take the clips and photos. In fact, Haitham attracted the merchant and they got into the car with him. Haitham’s brother took out the knife and stabbed the Omani trader several times and fled. Haitham broke the phone and tried to remove the knife from his body. The trader was saved and taken to hospital, but he died. Haitham was arrested and the death sentence was carried out.
