The three musketeers: D’Artagnan, in a new French version of Dumas’ novel with film stars from beyond the Alps, from Louis Garrel to Vincent Cassel, Romain Duris and Eva Green, are about to arrive at the cinema on April 6th. Here is a clip from the movie.

It’s always a pleasure to find on the big screen the protagonists of one of the most famous novels by Alexandre Dumas (father), The Three Musketeers, from 1844. After countless television and cinema versions, now comes the French version of Martin Bourboulon, The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnanwhich is reappropriated in the novel and has some of the most prestigious actors from beyond the Alps in the cast and beyond: Vincent Cassel is the eldest, Athos, Pio Marmai is the hedonist Porthos, Romain Duris it is Aramis and in the role of D’Artagnan there is the least known Francois Civilin addition to Eve Green (Milady), Louis Garrel (King Louis XIII and the Luxembourgian Vicky Krieps which is Anna of Austria. The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan – The official plot and the Italian trailer of the film

D’Artagnan, a lively young Gascon, is left for dead after trying to save a girl from a kidnapping. When he arrives in Paris, he tries in every way to track down the attackers but he doesn’t know that the search will lead him into the heart of a real war that puts the future of France at stake. Allying himself with Athos, Porthos and Aramis, three Musketeers of the King, D’Artagnan will face the machinations of Cardinal Richelieu. But, falling in love with Constance, the Queen’s confidante, he will put himself in serious danger by earning the enmity of the one who will become his worst enemy: Milady.

The film (the first of two feature films dedicated to the three musketeers) will be distributed in Italy by Notorious Pictures from April 6th. Simultaneous with the theatrical release, The Three Musketeers – D’Artagnan it will be in all bookstores with the official novel and manga taken from the film, both published by Gallucci.
