Today The show angered fans by reposting an Instagram post mocking singer Britney Spears.
Although the original was published by Donald Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., fans of Britney and Today accused the Nine Network morning show of piling up a repost of the original post.
Today captioned the images alongside the caption: “Britney Spears’ ex-husband Sam Asghari called Donald Trump Jr. a bully after he posted this photo with the caption ‘Yeah.'”
But many have pointed out that the show seems to be perpetuating bullying by spreading it.
“Why are you reposting this nonsense??? I’m so sorry, BUT BY REPOSTING THIS, YOU ARE TOO BIG bullies. FFS today shows that you are a mess!!! This is vile and desperately needs headlines,” one person commented.
“Yeah, not funny, she doesn’t deserve to be treated like this, delete this post, it’s disgusting and demeaning to her,” another person wrote.
“Read the room… hate it or love it, this type of bullying will not be tolerated! I hope you don’t have daughters,” another added.
Many followers reserved their anger for the original poster of Donald Trump Jr., with one person saying it was “wrong on so many levels.”
“It’s so good that her ex spoke out about it. You don’t talk shit about her even if you’re not together. Good guy. However, Trump is once again showing us who he is,” said another. .
