Niall and John argue over blind audition tonight
The preview clip for tonight’s episode shows the blind audition separating the coaches after all four judges turn their chairs.
After Chechi Saray wowed the judges with her cover of Minnie Riperton’s “Lovin’ You,” Niall Horan and John Legend playfully argued as they tried to convince the singer to join their teams.
After Niall told Chechi he wanted her on his team, John Legend accused the star of being “incoherent”, adding: “It feels like you’re just going around in circles.”
When it was John’s turn to speak, Niall had words for him too – and interrupted him by playfully singing “boo-ring!”
Teams know how
Ahead of today’s episode, every coach has at least three singers on their team.
- Team Gwen – Kristen Brown, Jocelynn Rose, Jenna Marquis, Juliette Ojeda
- Team Niall – Alexa Wildish, Olivia Minogue, Sofia Hoffman, Julia Room
- Team Reba – Jackson Snelling, Jordan Reiner, Ruby Lee
- Team Legend – DJ Young, Ephraim Owens, Mara Justine
The Hamilton actor wowed the judges
Last week, DJ Young, 33, performed Kate Bush’s This Woman’s Work and completely stunned the judges with his impressive falsetto.
“You have a wonderful ability to combine the masculine and feminine in a song, and falsetto is so difficult to sing live,” John Legend told the performer.
Eventually DJ decided to join John’s team.
Before auditioning for The Voice, DJ was on the national tour of Lin Manuel Miranda’s musical Hamilton.

In December 2022, Blake spoke to People to explain his choice, saying he wanted to spend more time with his wife Gwen Stefani and his stepchildren.
“Gwen and I traveled and toured and worked so much for the first half of our lives that now we’re like, ‘Hey, I’m willing to put on sweatpants at 6 p.m. and watch Ozark eight times,'” he said. told the publication. “This is our life now and we love it.”
He added: “If I quit my career at this time, the only thing I would risk is regretting missing out on some of the more important things in life. At the moment these are our children. It’s not about me anymore and it never will be again.”
The couple met while training on The Voice in 2014 and married in 2021.
Why did Blake leave the show?
After 23 seasons of “The Voice,” original cast member Blake Shelton has decided to leave the show.
Shelton said in an Instagram announcement in October 2022, “I’ve been struggling with this for a while and have decided it’s time for me to leave The Voice after next season.”
“It’s been one hell of a ride these 12 years of chair changes and I want to thank everyone at NBC’s The Voice, every producer, writers, musicians, crew and caterers, you are the best.
“I must express my deep gratitude to the singers – the group “Voices”, who come to this stage season after season and amaze us with their talent, and special thanks to those who chose me as their coach.
“Finally, it’s about you, the fans who watch and support these artists, us, the coaches, and everyone at The Voice who chases our dreams. This would not have happened without you!”
