A fire broke out in the basement of a multi-storey building in the Pakistani city of Karachi. As smoke rose from the area, most of the people living in the building threw themselves out. However, it was reported that some sick and elderly people were trapped in the fire. The first person to share the video, which quickly spread on social media, was Imtiaz Mahmood, a Pakistani living in England. Mahmoud, “Yesterday, a fire broke out in a supermarket near Chowrinji Jail in Karachi. A collective call to prayer was recited to extinguish the fire. But it was unsuccessful.” He said.
Some people supported the people of Pakistan and argued that reciting Adhan would be helpful in difficult times. He stated that the public’s reaction during the fire was “normal.”
