Even though the main version of Peggy in the MCU died off-screen in Captain America: Civil WarAtwell has portrayed other versions of the character in film and television, and after all this time, her fan following continues to be amazing. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness“Captain Carter” is the second version of the superhero version of Peggy Carter we’ve seen, the first being from the animated series “What If…?” Although this last Peggy is still alive and is expected to appear in What if… ? According to him:
So, the thing was, when I went to the premiere (of Multiverse of Madness), there were already people dressed as Captain Carter or Captain Britain, so we called her then. There were just a lot of cosplayers who had already torn apart the trailer and just went crazy and updated their cosplay costume with a new look, so it was really fun to watch.
Besides What if… ? In Season 2, Hayley Atwell will no longer appear in the MCU. However, since we are still in the midst of the Multiverse Saga, it is possible that we will meet another version of Peggy in another reality, perhaps in any of them.
