This weekend, Xunta will offer flu vaccinations to children aged 6 to 59 months in all hospitals in Galicia

This weekend (November 18 and 19), the Directorate General of Public Health will facilitate influenza vaccination for minors aged 6 to 59 months at morning, Saturday and Sunday meetings.

The Sunta Health Department just sent out a set of text messages to parents of boys and girls in that age group who have not yet received the flu shot. The aim of this measure is therefore to make it easier and more comfortable for fathers and mothers to accompany their children to all hospitals of the Galician public health network.

The Ministry of Health has emphasized the importance of vaccinating children against influenza and recommends systematic vaccination for children in this age group.

Vaccinations will be scheduled for this weekend (18-19 November) in all hospitals of the Galician Public Health Network; with the exception of the Monforte Hospital (which will be located in the annex of the IES Río Cabe); the Barco de Valdeorras and the Verín Hospital Appointments are scheduled for next weekend (November 25-26).

On these two days (November 25 and 26), the public health authorities will complete appointments for influenza vaccination of minors, continuing only in the regions of A Coruña-Sei; Vigo; Santiago-Barbanza; O Lence, as well as Verin and O Barco de Valdeorras already mentioned.
