Don’t worry, you’re not alone if you’re a little obsessed with celebrity doppelgängers, so when I saw this Zendaya doppelgänger, I had rotated. I am absolutely fascinated by the concept of a doppelgänger, me and @ciggybae’s 500k+ followers on TikTok.
Now these two are so similar that I had to do a double take, okay, triple take. From the shape of the eyes to the pattern of the hair, it’s completely creepy… and all this without makeup…
The thought that someone completely unrelated to you, with five or more degrees of separation, different parents and grandparents, sometimes even different heritages, looks just like you is mind-boggling.

It’s defying all the laws of DNA and genealogy right before our eyes, and it’s all one big coincidence. In recent years I have been told that I have a preference for Brigerton’s Simone Ashley, a Southeast Asian woman (I’m black African). I also recently spotted another doppelgänger in a Sephora ad and even received congratulatory messages from the removed watermark because of it. I saw this and thought it could be me too.
But nothing I’ve experienced has come close to this. We’ll need an ancestry test for that because these two are absolutely sure they’re not first cousins?

There are a lot of twins and triplets in my family, and none of them are as similar to each other as these two. @ciggybae IS Street Bennett from Euphoria, but with a “hmm, something different” twist.
It’s no surprise that TikTokers are heavily monetizing this epic comparison—who wouldn’t want to be confused with Zendaya? She now has a large following across multiple platforms and has a streaming channel. She was recently spotted on YouTube sensation Kai Senate’s livestream and the internet went crazy trying to figure out how he managed to keep Zendaya safe on his channel. Of course, it wasn’t the real Zendaya, but he almost fooled us all.
@ciggybae liked it the most. The TikTok has over 47 million views and is filled with comments from people who honestly thought they were watching Zendaya being explicit, jumping on the TikTok trend, only to find out at the very end that they weren’t. “I didn’t think it was actually Zendaya,” one user said, while others added: “Okay Zendaya, stop acting, it’s you” and “I was definitely sure you were Zendaya for like 10 seconds,” says another.
The Internet is in shock.
