As far as we know, the night far exceeded the Reform Alliance’s goal of $20 million, bringing in over $24 million.

The buy-in for the blackjack tournament is $100,000 for players and $50,000 for non-players at Ocean Casino Resort.

The casino also donated the $1 million grand prize, and the night’s big winner, Andrew Goldberg of TAO Group, donated $750,000 of his winnings to the Reform Alliance.

Kevin Hart hosted the night and teased some of the celebrity audience members, including Travis Scott and Meek Mill. Hart warned his friend and Reform Alliance co-founder Rubin as he took the stage: “I’m shooting! Some of them are going to get hurt!”

But Hart also made a powerful appeal to the reform coalition aiming to change probation and parole laws by telling how his own father “served a long time, in and out of jail.”

Hart also jokingly blamed the ongoing Hollywood actor’s strike as the reason why he didn’t buy anything from the night’s auction.
