As head coach Bill Belichick’s future continues to be questioned, Tom Brady weighs in on the New England Patriots’ woes.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion spent two decades with the Patriots, all of which he played under Belichick.
But with New England sitting last in the AFC East at 2-8, Belichick’s Patriots’ era of dominance appears to be over.
As rumors continue to circulate that this could be Belichick’s final season with the team, Brady opened up about his thoughts on what changes his former coach and the team need to make if they want to turn things around.
Talk about “Let’s Go!” ” Brady said on the podcast: “You have to change your strategy, different weeks, different challenges, and I think the Patriots, they just went through a tough time and just didn’t play with the confidence that you always have. Saw it.
“Obviously, Coach Belichick, I don’t think the way he coaches now is any different than the way he coached when we were undefeated. There’s a lot of things that need to go right in order to win and be successful.”
The first ten games of the 2023 season represent Belichick’s worst start to the year so far since he took over in 2000.
But while questions are mounting around his future as the blame game rages on, so too are key players, including quarterback Mac Jones.
As far as Brady is concerned, the Patriots’ woes lie with everyone, not just his former coach.
“The more I sit back and watch, when you win as an organization, everyone wants to celebrate; everyone has a responsibility,” he said.

Whether that will be enough to save Belichick’s job remains to be seen, with reports suggesting his departure is all but confirmed.
