Kate Winslet received an Oscar nomination for her role as Jenna Hoffman, despite looking nothing like her. It makes you wonder how she managed to get this role in the first place. She even noted in an interview with the Daily Mail:

“I couldn’t get the script. For some reason they had mental blocks and couldn’t look beyond my blonde hair and chest to see me in that role. I’m nothing like Joanna. She has dark hair and glasses. We are so different”.

So she sent her wonderful husband to buy dark-haired wigs and got to work.

“I put on wigs, a little makeup and took selfies that I sent to producer Scott Rudin. I thought: “Everything has probably gone bad!”

And now the actress already had the role and script ready.

Steve Jobs can be rented on Amazon Prime.
