Tom Holland has agreed to reprise his role as Peter Parker in Spider-Man 4, but his presence has yet to be determined given the English actor’s condition.

In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, the young actor, now an MCU veteran, predicted his possible return to Spiderman 4 stating:
“If we can’t compete with the third film, it will go into the sunset.”.

According to Tom Holland, the actor does not seem to have signed the agreement that obliges him to Spiderman 4but still thinking whether to return or not. However, the question arises if Spiderman 4 in fact, it would be the last film dedicated to this version of Peter Parker. For Tom Holland, Spider-Man: No Home would raise the bar when it comes to the Marvel character.
From that standpoint, if Marvel and Sony can’t come up with a clear idea for a sequel to Spider-Man’s adventures, it would make sense to use the new movie to wrap up the Peter Parker story. Perhaps this could be the MCU’s chance to finally introduce Miles Morales to live action, as Sony Pictures already wants to give the character its own standalone movie. So Spider-Man 4 could be a swan song for Tom Holland and pave the way for Miles Morales to continue his legacy. Only time will confirm this.
