Tom Holland’s concept of Spider-Man’s black suit makes the Venom crossover indispensable.

New concept art for Spider-Man: No Home shows Tom Holland in a black Spider-Man suit, making the crossover with Venom all-important. 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home was the most ambitious Spider-Man movie to date, bringing together three generations of live-action Spider-Man films by bringing together Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Holland. While there were many exciting openings in the film, some of them remained in the planning stages.

The cover of Spider-Man: No Way Home was revealed in Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art of Movies (via @SpiderMan3news), released August 1st. They show an initial look at what Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man might look like in a mythical symbiote suit.

Three concept arts depict Holland’s Spider-Man in variations of the character’s Black Suit. All images show the character in a black version of his traditional MCU costume design, with variations related to the color of the spider on his chest: cream, red, and white.

In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland’s Peter Parker didn’t don the mythical Spider-Man costume, but the movie set the stage for that to happen in the future. First, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock appeared in the MCU during the end credits of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. The character was later sent back to his world in the end credits of Spider-Man: No Way Home, but without the Venom symbiote part remaining in the MCU.

Although Holland’s Spider-Man and Venom Hardy didn’t meet for a short time while the anti-hero was in the MCU, the path for them to meet was paved in a future film set in the MCU or Sony’s Spider-Man universe. . Holland’s Peter Parker contacts the rest of the Symbiote in the MCU, which should get Venom Hardy’s attention.

It was revealed that all symbiotes have a hive mind, and so whenever Holland’s Spider-Man contacts a part of Venom in the MCU, Hardy’s character finds out, prompting the duo to finally meet. While Spider-Man: No Way Home kept the Symbiote suit in the planning stages, it’s bound to show up in the MCU. In the comics, Spider-Man first encountered the suit in the event that inspired 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars, so he was able to make his film debut, and Hardy also appeared as Venom thanks to the multiverse, continuing to tease Spider-Man. Man: No way home.
