This false information allegedly came from a Facebook page called “RIP Travis Scott.” The “About” section of the Facebook page stated the following about the rapper’s supposed death (as previously reported here):

Around 11 a.m. ET on Monday (September 25, 2023), our favorite rapper Travis Scott passed away. Travis Scott was born on April 30, 1992 in Houston. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please express your sympathy and condolences by commenting and liking this page.»

However, people did not realize that this news was not confirmed by any news sources. As a result, people have left a collection of condolences and messages on the page mourning Scott’s presumed death.

As HOLR previously reported, his team also allegedly released this statement to clarify that the news was untrue:

He (Travis Scott) joins a long list of celebrities who have fallen victim to this hoax. He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet.”

Travis Scott is dead in Astroworld
