Adriana, Naomi, Giselle and Candace: in a word, Victoria’s Secret Angels. The top models who created the history of the lingerie brand are back together for a new campaign, The Icon, which aims to pay homage to every woman’s curves. Along with Victoria’s Secret historical models, Adut Akech, Hailey Bieber, Paloma Elsesser, Sui He and Emily Ratajkowski also appear in the campaign. The ad campaign, photographed by acclaimed Mikael Jansson and curated by Camille Nickerson, features images of model silhouettes, some of which will also be featured in The Tour, the brand’s new show celebrating emerging global creatives, debuting in the fall. A few days ago, Doja Cat was also announced as the headliner of the show.
The new Icon collection will launch Thursday at select Victoria’s Secret stores and e-commerce. “The talents featured in the Icon campaign are dynamic women from the brand’s past and present,” Victoria’s Secret Creative Director Raul Martinez told Fashionista. “They embody what it means to feel confident and strong, in their own way, with distinct and powerful voices, which makes them iconic.” Icon also marks the big comeback of Adriana Lima, who announced in 2018 that she was ditching the lingerie brand that has seen her parade multiple times as one of its most iconic angels.
A special highlight of the collection is the Icon by Victoria’s Secret Push-Up Demi Bra, which uses a special lift technology to accentuate the wearer’s natural curves. Among other things, Ikona offers panties, shorts and robes with the brand’s classic logo in sizes from XS to XXL. “We are thrilled to present The Icon by Victoria’s Secret collection,” said Janie Shaffer, Chief Designer at Victoria’s Secret. “The collection was created to highlight the natural curves of a person while maintaining the flawless, supportive look we love so much. This is an exciting and sublime collection to add to your wardrobe that highlights that we are all icons.”
