With Halloween approaching, what better way to celebrate the time than on a cozy fall day pumpkin picking?

But where are the best pumpkin patches and farms in the UK for a wholesome family day out?

Luckily for Wakefield locals, it appears to be right on their doorstep as Farmer Copleys has been named the fourth best pumpkin patch in the UK following new research carried out by OutdoorToys.

The research analyzed entry prices, location, social media popularity and Google search data to reveal the best pumpkin patches and farms across the UK to visit this autumn.

Farmer Copley joins Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire, Tullis Farm in West Sussex and Garsons Farm in Surrey as one of the best pumpkin picking sites in the UK, making it second best in Yorkshire.

Last year, Pontefract Farm recorded 459,500 TikTok hashtag views, 18,500 Instagram hashtag views and 215,000,000 patch searches, helping it secure fourth place in the rankings.

The new name is not surprising, since last year the popular patch was called “the most Instagrammable.”

With over 250,000 pumpkins in 44 varieties, there are plenty of options for even the pickiest pumpkin carver and decorator.

The Copley Farmer’s Pumpkin Festival begins Saturday (Oct. 7) and runs through Oct. 31. Entry costs £6.
