Walk-in flu vaccination marathon in Valladolid over the weekend

The Ministry of Health will organize a walk-in flu vaccine “marathon” this weekend at 14 health centers in Castile and Leon. In Valladolid, the event will be hosted by Rondilla I, located on the first floor of Cardenal Torquemada Street, and Arturo Eyries, located on the first floor of the Laboratory at Calle Puerto Rico 1. Saturday and Sunday non-stop from morning to 8:00 p.m.

To this end, regional health management departments will activate these vaccination sites to allow the general population without risk factors to receive influenza vaccines.

On Saturday, January 13 and Sunday, January 14, anyone wishing to receive a flu shot can visit city vaccination sites that will be set up in all health districts in the community.

The general population without risk factors and without an appointment can receive the vaccine during normal hours Monday through Friday.

Each province has adapted the spaces corresponding to its health zones, with the exception of León, which will create another space in the health zones of Elbieso and Valladolid, which will provide the two zones mentioned above, respectively. Corresponds to the regions of Valladolid East and Valladolid West.

The Ministry of Health appeals to “all persons interested in receiving a flu vaccine” to do so without making an appointment at an authorized advice centre.

As for rural people, they can visit the Continuing Care Reference Center (PAC) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm throughout the weekend.

In addition, the Ministry of Health opens vaccinations to the general population without risk factors and without appointment from Monday to Friday, and it is carried out at all community health service centers in urban and rural areas.

The committee therefore seeks to increase vaccination coverage, which is currently low.
