Iga Swiatek praises tennis legend Steffi Graf and serena williams She plays her hero in Porsche Tennis’ Women’s Day feature. The world number one added that the two legends have shaped the sport for a new generation of athletes.
Famous legend Steffi Graf has won 22 Grand Slam singles titles, the second-highest number of women’s singles titles since the beginning of 1968. Serena Williams has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles (23), the most women’s singles titles in the Open Tennis era.
Swiatek calls these women heroes, and she followed in their footsteps to win four Grand Slam titles. She is targeting a fifth on clay at the French Open in May. The Polish driver, who won the Porsche Grand Prix last year, made an appearance at Porsche Women’s Day celebrations.
In a video posted on the Porsche Tennis X (formerly Twitter) page, Iga Swiatek revealed her heroes and her biggest inspiration. Swiatek put it this way:
On this Women’s Day, I want to talk to you about my female childhood heroes. Of course, because I play tennis, Steffi Graf and Serena Williams are my heroes. They have shaped our sport and paved the way for a better future for us, and I will always be grateful for that.

Now I can say that my biggest inspirations are actually the women I work with. There are a lot of women on my team. They inspire me to move forward and work harder. They are people I can sometimes read about. I am so grateful to have such support.

Iga Swiatek has revealed she wants to be ready for the Paris Olympics. However, despite her busy schedule, she still plans to prioritize the biggest events of the season.
