Night three Voice Season 24 of the Blind Auditions featured four performances featuring four chairs, but one that really touched our hearts was the 34-year-old Stioriginally from Washington, D.C., now lives in Bluffton, South Carolina.
Ste comes from a musical family: his father is a musician and his mother is a vocalist. He never wanted to be compared to them, so he actually wanted to become an engineer until he realized he needed to be good at math. Instead, he started a band with his sister and best friend, so this is the first time he’s performing solo.
He auditioned for coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, Niall Horan And Gwen Stefani With Burgundy Five“Sugar”.

His performance was so impressive that all four coaches turned away, but John really wanted Ste on his team, so when he turned – and he turned before Niall – he hit the block button.
“You have a great chance,” John teased Niall as Ste finished singing and Niall saw he was blocked.
“He really wanted it,” Gwen told John. “I sit next to him and watch him, and he thinks about blocking.”
Despite this, Reba was the first to serve. She said: “We’re having a little competition here and it looks like someone got blocked. Almost all of us are competing for you. You did a good job. The song selection was great, I loved your dance moves, everything, you have it all. This isn’t your first rodeo. How long have you been singing professionally?”
Ste replied: “Professionally since I was 14 years old. We have a band, my sister and best friend.”
“This makes me so upset,” Niall interjected.
“Life won’t always be easy for you, Niall,” John said. “We all have adversity, we all have problems, and we all get blocked.”
“You have a vendetta against me,” Niall replied. Then he said to Ste, “Anyone who takes over Adam Levine In my opinion, this song is brave because he has a damn cool voice. You absolutely matched there. It was so good. Obviously I don’t stand a chance here, but at some point I will steal you away.
Then it was Gwen’s turn. She said: “It was incredible. When someone can get their head voice to be as strong as their chest voice and run within it, that’s so cool to me. What I liked most was your character, your encouraging heart, your energy. I’ve been in the band all these years and I feel like I could do a good job with you to be able to take you from the band to now you’re here on your own. So, I’d like to work with you. You are so gifted. I’m Gwen Stefani if you want to be on my team.”
It seemed like Gwen had a chance, but here’s what happened to John and Ste:
“Look at you, you have four coaches coming after you, three of whom have a chance, and to be honest, we all loved you,” John said. “Singing a song by Adam Levine is a challenge because he’s one of ours.” more gifted pop singers in the world. He actually sat in that chair, and the fact that you convinced all of us that you could do an Adam Levine song is amazing.”
Ste then told John that he wanted to tell him a story about his cousin and John.
Ste said: “I had a cousin. His name was Matthew and he was your biggest fan. He was supposed to be here tonight, but he passed away three weeks before we arrived, so I dedicated all of this to him. He should be backstage and I should say, “John, I want you to meet my cousin Matthew.” I just want to say thank you so much for giving so much to Matthew. You really helped him get through some tough times.”
John responded, “Oh my God. It’s powerful. We are all so touched that you are here and the fact that you are as talented as you are and also seem like such a nice person. We’re really excited to have you on the show.”
Reba added, “I’m pretty sure Matthew is here with us, watching everything you do. So why don’t you and Matthew let us know which coach you’ll choose?
