“We make mistakes”: Brad Pitt regretted divorcing Jennifer Aniston, after which he asked his ex-wife for forgiveness

However, following their messy divorce, things seem to be on the mend between the two as sources have claimed that Aniston has reportedly forgiven Brad Pitt. Pitt also reportedly regretted one thing that happened during the divorce.

They married in a private ceremony in 2000. However, soon after five years, the actors announced their separation and subsequently filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

Although the duo was reported to have problems in their marriage, one of the main reasons for their separation was cited as an affair between Pitt and his wife. The duo apparently fell in love on the set of the film, and Jolie even publicly mentioned that she looked forward to coming to work every day because of Pitt. In an interview with Vogue, Jennifer Aniston spoke about Jolie’s statements and how they hurt her since they appeared to be made while Aniston and Pitt were married.

“There were materials printed there that definitely dated back to a time when I had no idea this was going on. I felt that these details were a little out of place to discuss. All this crap about how she can’t wait to come to work every day? It was really uncool.”

Pitt and Jolie finally admitted their relationship and dated for a while before finally getting married in 2014. However, they filed for divorce soon after.

Years after their messy divorce, actors Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt appear to have reconciled and are reportedly staying in touch with each other. Pitt went through a divorce from Angelina Jolie, and Aniston went through a divorce from her ex-husband Justin Theroux.

According to a US Weekly source, Pitt attended Aniston’s 50th birthday party and even reached out to her after her mother passed away in 2016. The source said:

“Brad reached out to Jen after her mom died, and she was touched that he knew what a difficult time it had been… Brad wishes he had been more thoughtful about the end of their marriage… He had asked Jen for forgiveness a long time ago, and she gave This”

Aniston once said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she hinted that she did not want to hold a grudge.

“I think it is extremely important to forgive. Otherwise, it just accumulates like toxic waste. There’s nothing worse than holding a grudge. Look, people can do unforgivable things, but you have to let it go and say, “Look, we’re all human.” We make mistakes.'”

Years later, they finally made peace.
