Poor creatures! From Yorgos Lanthimos
After Darling, The Lanthimos-Stone pairing returns to the big screen in a feminist interpretation of Frankenstein based on the 1992 novel. The life and secrets of England’s first female doctor Alasdair Grey. Here is the creature Emma Stone as Bella Baxter, a scientist Willem Dafoe. A comedy set in Victorian London starring Mark Ruffalo, Christopher Abbott, Margaret Qualley, Rami Yousef and Jerrod Carmichael. Expected theatrical release as of October 12, 2023.
dog man Luc Besson
“Wherever an unfortunate person goes, God sends a dog,” said Alphonse de Lamartine. So it opens dog mana film that marks the return of the French director to cinema. Luc Besson. A victim of suffering and brutal domestic violence at the hands of his stepfather and brother Doug, played by a phenomenal actor. Caleb Landry Jones he finds salvation in the love of faithful dogs, with whom he forms a very strong bond. It will be released in Italian cinemas October 5, 2023.
Priscilla Sofia Coppola
After a brilliant biopic Elvis Baz Luhrmann, Sofia Coppola gifts in Venice PriscillaA intimate portrait Priscilla Presley based on her 1985 memoir titled Elvis and me. Film starring Caylee Spaeny as the main character and Jacob Elordi in a story about the king of rock and roll, he tells the story of a woman’s life and her troubled marriage to Elvis. Expected release in Italy for October 27, 2023.
Murderer David Fincher
After the success of the series mind hunter David Fincher returns with a psychological thriller starring Michael Fassbender like a ruthless killer. Also in the cast Tilda Swinton. The film will release in select theaters in October before appearing on Netflix. 10th of November.
Owner by Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper returns to Venice as director and actor of a biopic produced by Martin Scorsese AND Steven Spielberg, a tribute to the extraordinary life of the composer Leonard Bernstein. The film traces the relationship between Bernstein and Felicia Montealegre, played by Carey Mulligan. In the cast we also find Matt Bomer, Maya Hawk AND Sarah Silverman. From December 20 on Netflix.
I am the captain Matteo Garrone
After 23 years Matthew Garrone returns to Venice, competing for the first time. I am the captain This is the story of Seydou and Moussa, two Senegalese boys who cross Africa to reach Europe, between the dangers of the desert, the horrors of detention centers in Libya, and the sea crossing. In theaters September 7th.
El Conde Pablo Larrain
Pablo Larrain (Jackie, Emma AND Spencer) arrives at the Lido with a unique biopic reinventing the figure of Augusto Pinochet. Playing dead, the dictator being played Jaime Wadell, wakes up as an elderly vampire, ready to continue sucking blood and oppressing his fellow Chileans. Also in the cast Alfred Castro. Out on Netflix September 15th..
