The Ivy Lounge at Pine Knob Musical Theater has been designated a Hepatitis A exposure site.

Hepatitis A is a liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV), according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The hepatitis A virus is highly contagious and is most commonly spread when someone unknowingly ingests the virus through contaminated food or drink.

Officials said 23-year-old Mia Kanu attended a party with some friends while home from college for the summer. Troopers said that in the early morning hours of June 3, 2023, she was riding in a car driven by Kentia Monique Fearn, 23, of Wayne.

Negotiations with Big Three continue, workers at 41 factories on strike

The United Auto Workers union expanded its strike against the Detroit Three to cover 41 plants across the country.

Workers at all GM and Stellantis parts and distribution centers went on strike at noon on Friday, September 12. Participated in the strike on the 22nd. The strike officially began last week but is limited to three facilities — one for each company.
