In 2023, Sergeant Hassan encounters the same creature, and Sergeant Maplewood takes up the mantle in a typically dystopian 2053. As connections are made over decades, the detectives soon discover that their investigations are interconnected, and they face the difficult task of collaborating across time. An idea put forward by mysterious political leader Elias Mannix (Stephen Graham).
