Open Day – 10am to 4pm at Wood Grange Care Home in Bourne. Enjoy homemade cakes prepared by the in-house chef and you’ll have the opportunity to meet the team and take a tour of the house.

Rocks by Rail Museum Open Day – 10am to 4pm, Cottesmoor, LE15 7FF. Take a ride on the Rutlander Train and the Quarry Railroad Day. The end of an exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the closure of Rutland’s last ironstone quarry in Exton Park. Ticket information: rock-by-rail.org.

Gift Wrapping Workshop – 2pm, Careby, Aunby and Holywell Village Hall. Hosted by Jane Means, author of Giftwrapper, who appears on television and has worked with brands including Chanel, Harrods, Dior, Fortnum and Mason and Victoria Beckham. Places cost £25 per person. Tea at King’s Cliffe Village Hall – 14:30 to 17:00. Homemade scones, cakes and other baked goods with freshly brewed tea or coffee or fruit squash. Homemade jam will be on sale and our book corner will offer lots of good reading. Find us on foot along Eagle Lane next to the LONDIS store on West Street; or by car via Orchard Lane at the western end of West Street and then through Church Walk where there is parking opposite the lower entrance to the Village Hall. We have a lift to the top floor if you need it.
