When and how to watch

Lionel Messi, the captain of the Argentine football team, will take part in this Wednesday’s Major League Soccer (MLS) home match against Toronto FC with Inter Miami.

The game will take place at 8:30 pm at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale and will be broadcast via the Apple TV app.

Messi returned to normal training on Tuesday after missing Argentina’s final game against Bolivia in La Paz, but his return to action remains uncertain.

Inter Miami head coach Gerardo Martino reported ahead of training on Tuesday that both Messi and Jordi Alba will take part in training but will decide later whether they will play in tomorrow’s game.

Messi did not even take part in last Saturday’s match against Atlanta United, which the team lost (5-2) after twelve games.

The doubts of “Tata” are due to the demanding series of Inter Miami, as on Sunday the 24th they will face Orlando City as a visiting team in a classic match, and then on Wednesday the 27th they will play the US Open final against Inter Miami Houston Dynamo. Toronto FC is one of three Canadian teams competing in Major League Soccer, along with the Montreal Impact and Vancouver Whitecaps.

The Toronto side have been playing in Major League Soccer (MLS) since 2007 and are currently the worst team in both leagues (West and East) with 22 points from 28 games.

Inter Miami is just one spot above Toronto, with 28 points from 27 games and seven points off D.C. United, who are at the bottom of the playoff zone.

Midfielder Franco Ibarra (formerly of Argentina’s youth team) is the only Argentinian in a team that includes Italian forward Federico Bernardeschi, who played for Juventus and Won the 2020 European Cup with “Azura”.
