The sportswear brand co-owned by Nike and Michael Jordan continues to make waves in the sneaker and athletic apparel industry. The brand started its journey in 1984 with the basketball shoe Air Jordan. Over time, the brand has expanded its catalog into other sports areas and has launched several sneakers, including street shoes, golf shoes, and running shoes.
Jordan Brand often releases golf versions of its iconic line of Air Jordan sneakers to celebrate Michael Jordan’s love for the game. The latest addition to the golf sneaker line-up is the Air Jordan 6 Golf “Olympic.” The sneaker gets a makeover with a retro two-tone color scheme.
The Air Jordan 6 Golf “Olympic” sneakers launch on October 17, 2023 via Nike’s official e-commerce website and select retailers. The shoe retails for $230.
Nike Air Jordan 6 Low Golf “Olympic” Sneakers Come in Two-Tone Design
Nike and Michael Jordan debuted their line of Air Jordan sneakers in 1984 with the release of the Air Jordan 1 sneaker model. It revolutionized the streetwear, fashion and basketball scenes, merging all three together. Since then, the sneaker line has been updated every year and is currently on its 38th signature model.
The beloved and stylish Air Jordan sneaker debuted in 1991 and was designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Swoosh brand’s legendary senior designer. The official Jordan Brand website introduces the model numbers of this shoe as:
“The AJ VI silhouette is inspired by MJ’s German sports cars. It’s the essence of speed and class, filled with touches like a neoprene boot, translucent rubber sole and visible Doctors. As if to validate these design decisions, AJ VI has appeared on the feet of several pop culture icons in its first year.”
The latest Air Jordan 6 Golf “Olympic” sneakers come in a “White/University Red/Midnight Navy” color scheme. The Swoosh label’s official website explains the color scheme:
“With an unparalleled feel from the tee to the final putt, this design is pure early MJ style: fast, classy, and filled with true early ’90s touches like visible Air and translucent rubber Soles that will continue to stand the test of time.”
It further states:
“This model blends the majesty of the first MJ Championship with our best golf technology to help you display confidence as you conquer the course.”
The upper of the shoe is made of leather material. The sole is finished in a Midnight Navy hue which can be seen on the perforated mid panels, side panels, and toe box. The sneaker’s heel tab also comes in a navy hue.
A Midnight Navy base is contrasted by White overlays that sit on the lacing system, cotton laces, tongue tag, ankle collar, heel counter, and perforated ankle.
The look features a white outsole with studs for added traction and stability on the golf course. Additionally, the shoe features a waterproof upper to maintain comfort.
